Manuel Polanco

Madrid, Spain

Manuel Polanco earned his degree in Architecture at ETSAM and is a founding member of Basurama, a collective founded in 2001. Working on cultural and environmental research, creation and production, Basurama has focused its field of study and action on production processes, the generation of waste they involve and the creative possibilities that arise from these contemporary situations. Within the horizontal structure of Basurama, comprising various architects and an environmentalist, Manuel has to do a little of everything: design, create prototypes, build… He is currently also responsible for the collective’s student work placement programme.
